A message from Simon
Hi, I'm Simon and I am the proud owner of, and DJ with Disco Culture.
I really don't want to make this too cheesy, but I always think it is nice for potential
clients to know a bit about their DJ, as in many cases they are putting possibly
the most important event of their life in the hands of someone they don't know from
Adam.
So, a bit about me personally. I am 43 and have been married to my wife for the
last 20 years and have lived in Malton/Norton all our married life. We have two
children (well nearly grown-ups), a son who is studying Music Production at college
in York and daughter who is still at school. My wife is a teaching assistant at
the local primary school, and my normal day job is as a software/web developer which
I have been doing freelance now for the last 15 years or so.
On to the important bit. I have been doing discos now for the last 6 years, but
mainly as a part time profession. In all honesty, I do it because I enjoy it. I
have always maintained, that the day I stop enjoying it, is the day I will retire.
My ethos is to provide value for money, whilst maintaining a professional attitude
and making sure both clients and guests feel at ease booking me for their event.
I may not provide the cheapest disco in the area, but what you will be assured,
is that I will be there on the night and you will have my full and undivided attention
from the point of booking, to well after the event has finished.
If you need any more information, even if you just want advice on booking a disco
or what you should be looking for from another DJ, please feel free to get in touch
using the Contact Us page, and I will be more than happy
to help and talk things through with you.
